Just for Fun

Central Georgia Genealogical Society January program will feature Jim Grigsby, Director of the Macon Family History Center, who will demonstrate some of the new and exciting changes to the LDS website

He will also share what their local FHC has to offer in the way of resources and volunteer assistance. The Family History Library in Salt Lake City and its affiliates are the largest, worldwide source for genealogical records.

it might be helpful if your brought your laptop to use while he is illustrating the Family Search website. We will have a wifi connection for your use.

Also, we just learned that AARP gives a very nice discount [30% off] for membership in case anyone is interested.

I hope all is well with everyone and getting ready for Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas party and for those that missed it, maybe next year. You could have seen me scooting around on my knee cruiser.
We will not have LNO in January as it falls on January 1st. Everyone will be having their New Years Eve and will not want to bother going out on that date. I will be too busy cheering on my Yellow Jackets in the Orange Bowl to deal with anything on New Years Day!
When we get together in February we will discuss if we will continue lunches, so no lunch in January either.
I am in the process of updating our LNO roster. If you wish to remain on the roster, please furnish the following info.

Phone #: (be sure it is a good working #)
Birthday: (just month & day)
Spouse Name:

If you do not email this information back by December 31st, you will be removed from the roster.

If any other neighborhood news needs to be shared, please email me ASAP.
Take care until we chat again.

QRNLNO_LogoWe have a new neighbor, Ann, on Pheasant Ridge that will be a lovely additional to the ladies. Thanks to Mary Ann for making contact to let Ann know about our wonderful neighborhood. As I explained to Ann our dinners (LNO) are the first Thursday and lunches (LLO) are the third Thursday of each month. I even told her about our Christmas dinners with our husbands or a guest of your choosing. Welcome Ann!!!

We were going to start back with dinner on September 4th but myself and Nancy G are out of town. Since it appears some people are getting in that last vacation period, we will not have LNO for September. We will start back with lunch on September 18th at 12:30. If you can think of a location for us to try, please email it to me. I will then notify everyone as the date gets closer with additional information.

Our Christmas party is scheduled for December 4th at 7pm. We will return to the Swanson House in Perry, since it was a good party last year. They are working a menu for us which will include a beef selection for our husbands that they did not have last year. As soon as I get the info, I will send along for you to check out. Please mark your calendars now for us to enjoy another night of fun and fellowship with our wonderful neighbors.

If any additional neighborhood information needs to be shared, please email me ASAP.

Take care until we chat again.
