Cinderella

Prince Charming and Cinder”Eva” have a Lunch Date at the Castle

We had a great time at dinner last night and caught up on everything. We missed those that could not come. We were glad to welcome back Dianne H.

Our next LNO will be on October 1st at 6:30. Nancy G will be in touch by email as the date gets closer. O’Charley’s will be the location, so please mark your calendars now to have a good turnout.

The picture above was discussed at dinner last night and I promised to send it out. My son Beau and his family are at Disney this week. He dressed up like Prince Charming and Eva dressed like Cinderella. He then took her to lunch at Cinderella’s castle and she was so excited as you can see in the picture. What a Daddy! Memories like that are priceless.

2015 Harvest Dance Flyer Small

I am not sure if you read our bulletin but my dance group is having a dance in October to raise money for the Christian Service Center. I was wondering the ladies may be interested in sponsoring, or buying tickets to attend the dance. Here are some facts about the Christian Service Center:

They are located on 136 Northview Avenue in Warner Robins. The center is a nonprofit organization and helps individuals and families within Houston County. On average they are able to assist approximately 100 families each week.

Here are some of their services:

· Food and other commodities assistance

· Clothing

· Prescription, Utility and Rent Assistance

· Thanksgiving and Easter Food Baskets

· Monthly brown bag commodities for Seniors

· Christmas Angel Tree

The center also contributes to the following organizations

· Meals on Wheels

· Soup Kitchen in Warner Robins

· Cherished Children

· Habitat for Humanity

· Nazareth Home

· CASA of Houston County

· Community Outreach ( Men’s and Women Shelter)

The Dance Society at the Moose Lodge in Warner Robins is holding the dance on October 24, 2015 at 7:30pm. The dance is called A HARVEST DANCE All proceeds will go to the Christian Service Center. Tickets are $25/person. There will be a live band with an auction. Great music to listen to and dance.

If you don’t know how to dance and want to learn we are even having a Professional Dance Studio come to give a short complimentary lesson at the 1st intermission.

Needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food and shelter every day. Together we can make a difference. Let’s fill the Centers cupboards in time for Thanksgiving!!!

Thanks
Elisabeth S.

I hope everyone has been having a good summer and trying to stay cool. With summer almost at an end, it is time to get back on track with our LNO (ladies night out). We normally meet the first (1st) Thursday of each month for dinner starting back in September. It is opening day at Georgia Tech, so we will be at the game. Nancy G. (my fill-in) will be out of town also.Logans

We will move the date to September 10th this one time which would be the 2nd Thursday. We will eat at Logan’s Roadhouse on Watson Blvd at 6:30. If you plan to go, please email me by 6pm on September 9th.

If any neighborhood news needs to be shared, please let me know.

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would pass along a new building being built on Russell Pkwy behind CVS. It is gong to be a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. I have been to them before as they have one near Beau’s house in North Carolina. For those who are not familiar with them, they are a smaller grocery type store. This is the 5th one being built in Georgia (2 in Atlanta, 1 in Rome, and WR is the fifth location). Yeah Warner Robins!

I know most people already know about the Five Guys Grill and Chipotle Grill being built in front of Toys R Us.

Take care until we chat again.
